• The ‘ART of – United Audition’ for ballet companies. Minimum age of entry is 17 years.
• The ‘ART of – United Audition’ for ballet schools, Minimum age of entry is 12 years.

The ‘ART of – United Audition’ will be held in two parts.
Part one – Pre-selection
Part two – Audition in person for selected participants

• Application deadline for ‘ART of – United Audition’ is 15th February 2023
• Application fee (non refundable) is USD $50.00
• Participation fee for candidates is USD $300.00

The application form must be completed in full, include the full name of the candidate and be accompanied by payment of the application fee by PayPal.

The participation fee must be paid within three working days of receiving the successful Pre-selection letter of confirmation. The participation fee can be paid through PayPal, or alternatively transferred to our bank account of which details will be provided in the letter of confirmation.
The participation fee payment needs to include the full name of the participant and their unique participant ID number, which will also be noted in the letter of confirmation.

Places for ‘ART of – United Audition’ are limited and applications will close once maximum participant numbers are reached. We strongly advise that you apply as soon as possible to ensure your place at ‘ART of – United Audition’.


PROCESS

• Part One:
The pre-selection for Part Two of ‘ART of – United Audition’ will be held through video. There will be an allocated section in your application form where you will be required to insert you video link and photos.

The video (no longer as 10 minutes) will be required to be uploaded by YouTube or Vimeo and must include the following:
Option one – 1 x Classical and 1 x Contemporary variation
Option two - Ballet Class including the following:
a) Barre: Rond de Jambe á Terre, Adagio
b) Center: Battement fondu, Adagio, Grand battement and Pirouettes (females to include Fouetté. Males to include Grand tours)
c) Allegro: Assemblé, Echappé battu, Grand jeté, Grand pas de basque.
d) Females are required to demonstrate three exercises en Pointe: Echappé in second and fourth positions, Pas de bourree and Pas ballotté.
e) Males are required to demonstrate Double tour in five positions and Double pas saut de basque en dehors

The application form should be accompanied by two full body shots in dance attire, and in a dance position (for example: 1st arabesque 90°, Sauté - 2nd feet position) and your portrait picture (no selfies will be accepted).
The application form can be submitted online only.
Any applications received with false or incorrect information (ie: incorrect email address, age, selfies or corrupted video files) will not be accepted. No email notification of these errors is required to be provided by the organiser. It is the full responsibility of the applicant (or their guardian) to ensure that all forms are completed correctly at time of submission.

Each application will be carefully assessed by the artistic team at ‘ART of ‘. Candidates will be judged on their level of skill and artistry.
All candidates will receive an email sent to the address provided on the application form, either of their further selection to ‘ART of – Part two United Audition’ or of their unsuccessful application.
The decision is final and cannot be appealed.
You will receive your letter no later than 20th February, 2023.

• Part two:
(Applies to the successful candidates attending the ‘Audition in person’)

Part two of ‘ART of – United Audition’ will take place in person on 24th and 25th February 2023 at (Státní opera - Národní divadlo, Legerova 75, Praha 1, Czech Rebublic)

The participation fee of USD $300.00 must be paid within three working days of receiving the confirmation letter noted above to secure your place at ‘Part two of ART of – United Audition’. The participation fee can be paid through PayPal or alternatively transferred to our bank account of which details will be provided in the letter of confirmation.
The participation fee payment needs to include the full name of the participant and their unique participant ID number, which will also be noted in the letter of confirmation.
Your place at the audition will be automatically cancelled if the participation fee is not received within three working days of receipt of your confirmation letter, as per the Terms and Conditions. No follow up email is required to be sent by the organiser.

An ‘ART of – United Audition’ schedule and reminder letter will be sent to you by email on February 21st 2023.
